Yesterday, I dropped by my local sandwich shop. I said to the owner, “I see you’ve gone all eco friendly.”

I was looking looking at his cardboard sandwich packaging. There was a sticker on it saying the pack is fully compostable and biodegradable.

In this morning’s Daily Telegraph, a story about Labour Environment Secretary David Miliband apparently considering green labels for food which display the amount of greenhouse gasses created when transporting the food. It’s a great idea if only to open up the whole debate about food miles…
