This recycled razor that I stock just got a nice little mention in The Observer:

Go to the store

EcoBalls have been a revelation. They remain one of my most solid sellers and are really popular with the people who use them. I use them myself, in fact. But now there’s an alternative…

Paper promises

Recently the pop singer Sheryl Crow was mocked globally for suggesting that toilet visits could be made more ecological if we only used one square of toilet paper.

Smoke on the water: eco-friendly barbecues

Friday, June 22nd, 2007 by Nigel

This time of year, an extraordinary fog descends on Hove seafront, south of the Nigel’s Ecostore nerve centre. In the evenings, if you walk along the beach, the sun descends behind a thin, smoggy haze.

FreeLoader Solar Charger in Nigel's Eco Store

We’ve just got this great solar gadget in stock. As featured in The Independent this weekend, the FreeLoader Solar Charger is “a smart eco-friendly device that soaks up the power of the sun and stores it for up to three months, meaning you can use it to charge your electronic gadgets” such as mobiles, mp3 players, pdas and more. It can also be charged from a USB port on your PC or laptop.

In the Independent it came in the top 10 best camping gear.

It compares favourably with the Solio solar charger, but costs quite a bit less.

Get yours now from Nigel’s Eco Store.

Sundance by Benjamin Moore Paint

In the tech world, people regularly bandy around the phrase “early adopter”. If you’re unfamiliar with the phrase, here’s a quick definition:

If you’re the first person to buy the first ludicrously overpriced piece of electronic equipment, you justify the shocking price to your partner/housemate/mum by calling yourself “an early adopter”…

I am the low energy egg man

It being Easter, the topic is eggs.

This morning I boiled myself one using the low-energy technique I discovered on The Yellow House’s site.

To whit: Place egg in cold water. Bring pan to the boil. The moment it boils…
