There was a really interesting survey published in The Guardian a few days ago about trust and green issues. It’s a wake-up call to anyone who lives in a green ghetto and thinks that everybody gets what the problems are.

The Green Guy wrote a nice piece for The Guardian last week on using “smart meters” to shave un-needed watts off your electricity use.
Here in relatively eco-conscious Brighton, the smart meter seems to have created a whole new fun-for-all-the-family type game…

I think you have to admire the musicians who’ve put their names to Live Earth. It’s not so much the committment to playing at a humungously huge world-wide gig. A twenty-minute set is hardly going to kill them. It’s the fact that by appearing there they’re opening themselves up - for the rest of their careers - to charges of hypocrisy…

At Festival time, Brighton is known for its Open Houses, selling art. Some of it’s great. Some of it’s… ah… interesting. Mostly everyone goes around to check out their neighbour’s kitchen extensions and tut at the wallpaper.
