100% Organic Cotton School Uniforms - shirts, skirts and trousers for boys and girls aged 3-16
Thanks to Lint-Kids for this great image

Can you believe it’s nearly this time of year again? Even though my school days are long behind me, it’s a pretty infectious spirit, and when the end of August is approaching I find myself still in the ‘Back to School’ frame of mind. It’s a great time to take a deep breath and get ready to hurl yourself into whatever the rest of the year has in store.

A lot of us will be coming back from our Summer holidays, gradually getting used to the idea of lower temperatures, shorter days, more pressure, crazy deadlines, tax returns, Christmas shopping - the list goes on! But for now, with all of that ahead of us, a neat stationery drawer full of recycled pens and pencils, and a handy recycled notepad can be enormously comforting, and make the challenges that the rest of the year will bring seem more achievable somehow.

For those of you who the phrase ‘Back to School’ actually means returning to a place of education for the start of a new term, here’s a handy run down of lots of eco, organic and ethical alternatives for stationery, lunch boxes and uniforms. Our organic school uniforms for boys and girls have been proven tough enough to withstand ‘the playground test’, and are made from 100% organic cotton. We’ve got organic cotton skirts coming soon too so watch this space. And for the rest of us, it’s time to get organised! Take a look at our Green Office supplies - if you’ve got the Back to School bug, there’s plenty of eco and recycled alternatives for your green stationery cupboard.

What’s your top tip for this time of year? Let me know in the comments.

One thing that cheers me up towards the end of summer and the start of autumn is cleaning and putting away all my summery clothes ready for next year, and getting out all the woolies and warmer garments out of storage, and checking them for holes or damage. I also enjoy getting the shoes and boots that I wear over the winter and making sure that they are clean and waterproof, ready for the wind and rain. You don’t have to throw away clothes and shoes after a single season, whatever fashion magazines may tell you!
