Nigel’s Eco Store launches new Eco Holidays service

It’s been a long year already, and I’m looking forward to a holiday. In fact I need a holiday. Badly.

But… can I, in good conscience go somewhere hot? The challenge: air travel is the fastest growing cause of global warming and if no action is taken, CO2 emissions from flights could make up as much as 10 per cent of the UK’s total CO2 emissions by 2020. We all know that one of the best things that anyone can do to cut their carbon footprint and limit their own impact on the environment is not to fly.

What are we then to do? We like holidays abroad, and we like flying. Personally I now feel pretty guilty any time I do…

Given that I’d like to help you live a low carbon life, we came up with a radical idea: why not help you find great holidays that are lighter on the planet and that you can get to by train instead?
