Following some great feedback on our blog, we’ve decided to make the awards a tad more democratic. So this year, anybody can nominate a site in any category. Nominations open on Monday 26 October and unlike many other awards, there is absolutely no charge for nominating an entry. Our expert panel will then draw up a short-list of nominated sites in each category, based on two criteria: the volume of nominations received for each entry, and their personal opinion and expertise. No expert will be asked to adjudicate on a site or activity in which they have any personal interest. We’ll then be asking everyone to vote on their favourites, with the winners to be announced in January 2009. I find the posts to be extremely well written and educational. The author, Julia Vasic, seems very passionate about sustainable living but doesn't shove it down your throat like some authors. I also really like the logo, very simple, clean, and well utilized.
