That photo was to show the eccentric misuse of an expensive bike lane sign kit by someone artistically impaired! As for the cycle lane on the sea front, it's hard to think of a better solution, short of building flyovers for pedestrians and/or bikes. I think it's just a matter of everyone respecting each other's right to exist and accepting that everyone makes mistakes. After all, even cyclists are sometimes pedestrians, and vice versa. I cycle to get away from the madness of cars, so please don't go bringing road rage to our cycle lanes! So, actually, I agree with you!
