Ronald Regan started the trend for fading film stars becoming politicians, followed by Arnie taking the California governorship. Now past-it politicians get their revenge on movie stars with failed Presidential Candidate Al Gore scooping two Oscars for An Inconvenient Truth. Ho hum. I wonder if Tony Blair has a movie agent yet?

Meanwhile in the real world it’s Fairtrade Fortnight and Ben Clowney is attempting to survive for a week using only Fairtrade products. I should imagine that means a lot of bananas and a lot of coffee. But it’s getting easier all the time. This is his diary of Day One.
