Wheelie bins. Love em' or loathe 'em, you can't deny they're highly practical; capacious and easy to move around. This kit gives the humble wheelie bin another role: helping to keep your garden green during a hosepipe ban.

This Water Butt Conversion Kit has everything you need to turn your wheelie bin into a rain water butt that you can attach to a hosepipe for watering, or to fill a watering can.

Drill a hole using the bit included, connect the tap, then you're ready to start either collecting rainwater, or grey water from around your home. Keep your garden green, even during a hosepipe ban.

Suitable for use on any large plastic bin or container.

Reusing Grey Water: advice from the Royal Horticultural Society
You can water plants with water from your sink, bath or washing machine (from the rinse cycle).
Your garden's soil and compost will filter out any soap or detergents.
Use grey water within 24 hours.
Do not use grey water on edible crops.
Softened and dishwasher water are less good for plants, although may be fine for short term use. For more information, see www.rhs.org.uk.

How We Send Things
We send all orders by Royal Mail, or by courier if it's heavy. Royal Mail deliver Monday to Saturday, couriers deliver Monday to Friday.

Deliveries are usually made between 9am and 5.30pm. A specific time slot cannot be specified with any of our delivery options.

Please be aware that during our sales or promotions, or when there are circumstances beyond our control such as when there's snow on the roads, delivery may take longer.

Nigel SaysA wheelie bin makes a great water butt because it is portable. Making a small hole in the side of the bin will not stop you from also using it as a bin, but in a dry spell, it could make all the difference.
