The highly accurate sensors of the Seal measure weather conditions, such as pressure and temperature, and give a good indicative weather forecast. The high quality solar panel is integrated into the base of the Seal and becomes a natural part of its design.

The solar panel charges the internal Ni-MH batteries, so even without sunlight the Seal can make its measurements and display the information. For periods of no sunlight over a long time, the Seal has the option of a back-up battery.
