The cinema and theatre chairs come from variety of sources, the main criteria is that they are striking and different: often the chairs are from 1950's.

Guy describes how he makes them: "Firstly I restore and stain the original wood. Then the cast iron frame is sand blasted and professionally painted. I reupholster the seats and backrest with vibrant new fabrics. The rockers are made from local sources of wood and finally the chairs are assembled," he says.

We loved Rocky chairs so much that we awarded them 'Pick of Show' at <Actinic:Variable Name = 're'/>design 06 - the eco design exhibition (see nigel's blog for more about the show).

This is a handmade to order item, so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.

Rocky comes in a choice of two colours - red and blue upholstery with yellow sides, or green and neutral upholstery with pink sides. The price includes delivery to anywhere in the UK.
