Outdoor Solar Powered Christmas Fairy Lights

Have a sparkly eco friendly Christmas with these all-year-round outdoor solar powered fairy lights - they'll put out a bright light whether you choose the 50 or 100 LED versions, with free power provided by the sun. Ideal for Christmas trees, Christmas decorations, summer parties, parasol lighting, or just to enhance your garden or home.

These outdoor solar powered fairy lights are waterproof and the integrated controller means you can select 8 different functions such as continuous, flashing, burst, pulse etc. The lights come on only when it’s dark, as they are activated to maximise the energy provided by the sun.

The solar panel uses a high quality Kyocera Solar cell for maximum energy generation, and is designed to accommodate the Great British climate. They work best in direct sunshine, and given enough light these solar lights will collect enough energy even during winter to run for 10 hours in flash mode every night.

NB As with all solar powered lights, operating time depends on available light, so to ensure best results:

  • Charge the panel with the lights switched off for one day, and then switch on the next day - that should give the internal battery 2 days to charge
  • During the winter, because there is less light generally, to work properly the solar panel needs to be correctly angled and placed where it can get as much light as possible - so please make sure the panel is not under a tree or bush, or in a dark or shaded spot, or in a shadow.
  • Around Christmas and new year, the sun is low so place the solar panel in a near vertical manner rather than horizontal - the solar panel MUST face the sun to get best results.
  • On overcast and grey days in winter, there may not be enough light to give it a good charge. They charge best on clear bright days.

      These lights were excellent.  During the day moved solar panels to back garden to get maximum light. Then at 4.30pm plugged them into the lights which were set up in the front garden, which is in a lot of shade. Changed rechargeable batteries for stronger ones. Need to recharge batteries regularly.
