Just plug phone and charger into the energy saving Enviroplug, then plug into the wall. The Enviroplug monitors the power going into your mobile, and cuts the power when the battery is full.

You can leave your phone charging overnight, ready for when you need it, without wasting energy. You'll save enough to boil a kettle more than 100 times, or watch 76 hours of telly.

It takes about 2 hours for a phone to charge so leaving one charging all night wastes a fair bit of energy, and money.

How much could you save?
If you use a typical mobile phone charger and leave it plugged in and turned on all the time, by using an Enviroplug Mobile Phone Energy Saving Adapter you will save 90% of the energy you would have used. Here's an example:

Typical Mobile Charging Cycle - Without Enviroplug:

Charge mobile for 1 hour: uses 2 watts.

Mobile phone plugged in at wall for 7 hours after battery full: uses 14 watts.

Phone charger plugged in at the wall and turned on but no mobile phone connected, for 16 hours: uses 24 watts.

Over 1 year you would use: 14.6KWh.

Typical Mobile Charging Cycle - With Enviroplug:

Charge mobile for 1 hour: uses 2.8 watts.

Mobile phone plugged in at wall for 7 hours after battery full: uses 0.35 watts.

ie using an Enviroplug can give an annual saving of 13.14KWh, equivalent to watching a 32” LCDTV (170W) for 4 hours a day for 19 days, or boiling a kettle over 100 times (1500W kettle taking 5 minutes to boil).

Instructions

Plug the Enviroplug into the wall socket and plug the charger into the adapter. The green LED will come on.

When the battery is full, or the mobile is disconnected from the charger, the Enviroplug cuts all power to the charger and the LED will flash red.

If the mobile is not disconnected from the charger, the Enviroplug will automatically cut the power after three hours.

To reset, unplug the Enviroplug, or turn power off and on again at the wall.

To override the Enviroplug, turn it on, off and on again. The LED will light red continuously and the power will be supplied to the mobile without monitoring or timed cut off.

To reset for normal use, turn the power off, wait five seconds and turn on again.

LED status

Green: Normal, monitoring power use of charger.

Red flash: Has turned power off after detecting full battery.

Red continuous: Override mode, not monitoring power use of charger.

Off: No power or fuse has blown.
